CAROL O’ROURKE PENNINGTON began her career in labor and employment law in the Massachusetts firm of McGuire and McGuire, where she represented employees and union members in a variety of employment related matters. In 1988 Ms. O’Rourke Pennington returned to New York to work as a Field Attorney with Region 29 of the National Labor Relations Board, where she investigated and tried unfair labor practice and representation cases.
Ms. O’Rourke Pennington joined this firm in 1990 as an associate and became a partner on January 1, 1997, where she has been primarily engaged in representing unions and their employee benefit funds in litigation, arbitration, and as general counsel. Ms. O’Rourke Pennington is a graduate of Hofstra University School of Law and SUNY Brockport. She is admitted to the New York and Massachusetts Bars; the Second Circuit Court of Appeals; and the United States District Courts of Massachusetts and the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. Ms. O’Rourke Pennington is a member of her state and local bar associations and several associations for labor relations professionals. She has also been engaged as adjunct Professor of Law in the area of Labor Law and Labor Arbitration.
